Learn some falconry techniques on this full day course
The Falconry is in the New Forest National Park, which provides a beautiful area to fly the many birds housed in this centre. This day course starts with you meeting the aviary and flying birds at the centre as well as the experienced falconer. You will then have a hands on experience where you will learn to fly an owl and a Harris Hawk. You will also watch your experienced falconer fly a falcon in the neighbouring countryside. This is an unforgettable experience for any bird fanatic.
Your experience starts with an informative tour of the centre where you will see the variety of birds of prey close up and learn all about their different characteristics, speed capabilities and hunting habits. After that, you will have the chance to fly an owl and a Harris Hawk to the fist under the watchful eye of the trainer. Finally you will have the chance to watch a professional fly a falcon around the countryside. There will be plenty of photo opportunities to capture a truly unforgettable experience. You will be at there for approximately 6 hours in total.

Information and Restrictions
On purchasing this experience you will be issued with a voucher valid for 10 months. All equipment will be provided for your experience, but it is advisable to bring a pair of wellington boots with you and wear suitable outdoor clothing for the time of year. Please note that the species of bird flown will be dependent on the time of year. Lunch will be provided for you on the day. The minimum age for this experience is 12 years old. There will be 5 other people sharing this fantastic experience with you.
