Enjoy an hour learning how to control a light aircraft
Take to the skies with a CAA approved instructor at this excellent flying club. The instructor will control the Cessna 150 for take off and landing, and will encourage you to take over for as much in-air time as you are comfortable with . Enjoy marvellous birds-eye views of the glorious Midlands' countryside and historic sites as you travel. To end your lesson you will be awarded a certificate as a memento of the day. This is an ideal taster class for any budding pilot or plane enthusiast.
On arrival at the flying club you will be asked to become a temporary member of the club; this is free of charge and ensures that you are covered by the centre's insurance whilst flying. You will have a brief pre-flight briefing with your well qualified, friendly instructor who will be happy to answer any questions you have about flying or aircrafts. Your pilot will have control of landing and take off but once airborne you will be able to have hands-on control of the aircraft. Once you have landed you will be presented with a certificate. Your flight time can be used for any further training to get a full pilot licence.

Information and Restrictions
On purchasing this experience you will be issued with a voucher valid for 10 months, for one person. On receipt of this you are free to call the air centre and book your lesson. When you book it is essential to inform the centre if you are over 6'4" or over 16 stone as an extra charge maybe necessary if a bigger plane is required. The minimum age for this experience is 14 years old. If the participant is under 18 a parent or guardian needs to join them on the day. Family and friends are welcome to come along and watch you fly. It is essential that you become a temporary member of the air centre on the day; it is free of charge and it ensures you are covered by the centre's insurance. All lessons are subject to availability and weather conditions on the day and so clients are advised to phone the morning of the lesson to check if it is safe to fly.
