Experience a full day of magical marine action aboard a 42ft ocean-going yacht.
Whether you are a first time sailor and have always wanted to venture onto the open ocean or if you just want to hone your sailing skills, this full day sailing experience is for you. Your skipper will show you the basics and then you'll get to sail for the rest of the day, taking turns behind the wheel with the other participants. This is a superb introduction to this wonderful sport, carried out on the safe waters of the Orwell and Stour and into the Harwich harbour and North Sea.
Your experience begins with coffee and a safety briefing, and then your RYA Yachtsmaster skipper will introduce you to the basics of sailing. Then it's hands-on sailing for the rest of the day with everyone taking turns behind the wheel, steering the boat out into the Orwell and Stour, as well as Harwich Harbour and North Sea Water. After a pub lunch ashore (not included in this voucher) alongside a top Marina, you will be able to carry on improving your sailing skills or just sit back and relax in the well protected cockpit. All refreshments afloat are included. The experience lasts from 10:00am to approximately 5:00pm.

Information and Restrictions
Your voucher is valid for ten months, for one person. You are free to contact the centre to arrange a day for your experience. This experience is available selected days during the season (1st April - 31st October) and all bookings are subject to availability. Sailing may be cancelled or curtailed in severe weather conditions. If in any doubt please call the centre before departing for your experience. There will be a maximum of seven people on board plus the skipper. Spectators are welcome to wave you off from the Marina, but will not be able to join you on board. Please dress warmly and comfortably with extra layers. All safety equipment is provided for you. Minimum age is 16, maximum weight 20 Stone. No previous sailing experience is required and non-swimmers are welcome.
