Learn essential survival skills on this exciting two day course set in 300 acres of beautiful woodland in Ashdown Forest. You will build shelters, make fire, prepare food, and learn basic navigation skills. Give yourself a fighting chance at survival and rescue by learning to work with nature, rather than against it. This is a practical introduction to survival and is designed to dispel any myths and teach realistic and useful skills.
During the course you will cover survival psychology, shelter building, fire lighting, water collection and purification, plant and fungi uses, navigation techniques by day and night and how to contact help and be rescued. You will be provided with a kit list of essential items needed.

Information and Restrictions
On purchasing this experience you will be issued with a voucher valid for ten months. Minimum age is 18. This is a weekend course - you will arrive on Saturday and leave on Sunday. All tools, equipment and food for the course are provided, but you will need to bring a plate, mug and cutlery. You should bring comfortable clothing and footwear, and extra warm clothes and waterproofs. A sleeping bag, ground map, torch, water bottle, notepad and pen/pencil will also be required. Your one night will be spent in shelters that you have made.
